Webinar: Report launch - Just resilience in Europe

Adaptation

With climate change impacts worsening, European societal preparedness to climate change must increase. But efforts to build this resilience must ensure that no one is left behind. Join our online event for the latest EEA insights on this topic.

Considering justice in climate adaptation is crucial to achieving a resilient and prepared Europe where citizens and communities can thrive in the face of climate change. Recognising this, efforts must be placed on integrating justice considerations into the entire adaptation policy cycle.

EEA’s 'Social fairness in preparing for climate change: how just resilience can benefit communities across Europe' report, to be published on 10 June 2025, focuses on progress and ways of including the most vulnerable groups in European climate adaptation policies and actions.

At the event, the following speakers will present their perspectives on the topic:

  • Dr. Hanne van den Berg, EEA expert on climate change adaptation
  • Matthew Baldwin, Deputy Director General, Head of Housing Task Force, DG ENER, European Commission
  • Pawel Jaworski, Director, Department of Adaptation to Climate Change and Urban Policy, Ministry of Climate and Environment, Poland
  • Other speakers to be confirmed
